This Privacy Policy explains how Hoop With Prezence LLC, a Virginia limited liability company ("Hoop With Prezence," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our iOS application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Account information — your email address and name when you create an account or sign in with Apple or Google.
Profile information — optional details you provide such as position, height, graduation year, dominant hand, school, and profile photo.
Content you upload — basketball training videos and related metadata you choose to upload for analysis.
Training data — your onboarding answers (such as playing level, training habits, season status, and goals), the plays you submit (play type, court location, focus areas, and the descriptions you write), completed workouts, lift logs, and streaks.
AI analysis data — feedback and recommendations generated from your content and training activity.
Usage and diagnostic data — app activity, performance, and crash reports used to keep the app stable, plus basic product events tied to your account (for example, which screens you open, such as the subscription screen, and when you finish a workout). We use these to understand what works and to improve the app, not to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Device trial identifier — a random identifier stored in your phone's Keychain, used only to give each phone one free Pro trial. It is not your advertising ID and is not shared with advertisers.
Subscription status — whether you hold an active subscription (purchases are processed by Apple; we do not receive your payment card details).

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide core features: training programs, video uploads, and AI-powered analysis.
To create and manage your account and authenticate sign-in.
To process and restore subscriptions.
To improve app performance and diagnose crashes.
To communicate important service updates and reminders.

3. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party providers that process data on our behalf:

Supabase — authentication, database, and storage of your account data and uploaded content.
RevenueCat — subscription management and entitlement verification.
Apple & Google Sign-In — optional authentication.
Google (Gemini API) — generates your AI workouts and coach insights. See "AI Features and Google Gemini" below.
YouTube — drill demonstration videos are embedded from YouTube. See "Embedded YouTube Videos" below.
Sentry — crash and error reporting (no payment data).

Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms. We do not sell your personal information.

4. AI Features and Google Gemini

To generate AI workouts and coach insights, the App sends Google's Gemini API text describing your training: the details of plays you submit (including the descriptions you write), your onboarding answers such as position, playing level, training habits, and goals, and your recent workouts. We do not send your name, email address, uploaded videos, or profile photo to Google.

We currently use Gemini under Google's free (unpaid) service terms. Under those terms, Google may use the content we send and the responses it generates to provide, improve, and develop its products and services, and human reviewers at Google may read this content. For this reason, please do not include sensitive personal information in play descriptions or notes. Learn more in the Gemini API Additional Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy.

AI-generated content is provided for training guidance only and may be inaccurate. It is not medical or professional advice.

5. Embedded YouTube Videos

Drill demonstration videos in the App are embedded from YouTube using its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). When you load or play one of these videos, YouTube (operated by Google) may receive information such as your IP address, device and browser information, and your viewing activity, and may use it as described in Google's Privacy Policy. We do not control the data YouTube collects.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the app, which permanently removes your profile, uploaded content, and associated data from our systems.

7. Your Rights

Access, correct, or update your profile information in the app.
Delete your account and associated data in-app at any time.
Request a copy of your data or ask questions by contacting us (below).

8. Children's Privacy

The app is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
